Join us for a day of mindfulness practice, discussion, and Q&A with George Mumford, a recognized leader in developing and implementing strategies for enhancing individual and team performance and synergy through mindfulness.

George Mumford has taught meditation in a range of settings including sports arenas, where his students have included Olympic athletes and NBA greats such as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant; prisons; and the Harvard Medical School.

In 1990, he began training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society at UMass Medical Center. In 2003, Mumford was one of several teachers invited to participate in Healing through Great Difficulty: a meeting between His Holiness the Dalai Lama, former prisoners, and meditation teachers. George is currently working with Holy Cross Men’s Basketball Team and as an Executive Coach working with corporate executives and medical doctors. Mumford holds an MA in Counseling Psychology. His book, The Mindful Athlete: Secrets to Pure Performance will be published by Parallax Press this spring.
